Tagged: “To write five quotes from the books that I have read”

I have been tagged by Snigs to share five quotes from the books that I have read, and though I confess that I can fill pages and pages with “food for thought” from books, but I restrain myself to five (okay, six!)

Finding something important in life does not mean that you must give up everything else.”

The past reflects eternally between two mirrors – the bright mirror of words and deeds, and the dark one, full of things we didn’t do or say.”

Hopes are like hair ornaments. Girls want to wear too many of them. When they become old women they look silly wearing even one.”

The difference between a person and an angel is easy. Most of an angel is in the inside and most of a person is on the outside.”
Fynn, Source: Mister God, This is Anna

Tree took account of road, which was aware of air, which was mindful of sea, which shared things with sun. Every element lived in harmonious relation with its neighbor, and all was kith and kin.”
And I am tempted to add another quote from the same book:
If Hinduism flow placidly like the Ganges then Christianity bustles like Toronto at Rush Hour.”

    @manuscrypts:
    Atleast you’ve read 1 out of 5, I’ve not read any of these, eh! ;) And I also gotta do this tag as Snigs tagged me as well. Lets see if I can turn up even half decent list compared to what Ansy has put up here! :)

    @Manuscrypts and Amit, I am sure if you rack your brains enough (read, Google), you will find interesting quotes from the books you have read :-) And if you want to read more and more, then you better work in an office like mine, which provides you with one hr reading time both morning and evening, through a bumpy bus ride, to and from work! My reading list has grown by leaps and bounds since I started travelling 15 kms to work :-)

  5. Amit Says:

    Great minds think alike Ansy, I was also thinking of doing the same thing, eh!! ;) :P

    As for bus rides, well, I don’t travel to work, so sometimes its a downside & at other times its not! ;)

    @Amit, you know my hubby calls me the “GoogleQueen” ;-)

    and its always beneficial not to be travelling to work, even if it means your Shelfari shelf remains undusted for quite some time ;-)

    ha ha ha!! :D

    Its just a matter of perspective Ansy. Being a person who’s been living this experience everyday for last 4 years, I stand by what I said – sometimes it feels great & at other times it sucks! :)
