Comments on: George Orwell’s prophetic novel – 1984

If you read (or watch the documentary) Noam Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent, you will realize that what Orwell prophecised IS already being practiced by the US government.

And he puts forth (quite logically and convincingly) and the US is already a totalitarian state beneath its facade of democracy.

Before you dismiss what I just said, do yourself a favour and read the book or hunt down the documentary.

1984 has been named as the “definitive book of the 20th century” in a 2007 conducted by the Guardian
